The Trattoria

We take our name from the Breccia di Porta Pia, the breach in the city walls opened in 1870. A symbolic passage that also inspires our cuisine: roman tradition with a contemporary twist.

Breccia is a modern roman neighbourhood trattoria, serving distinctive, seasonal, carefully crafted dishes.

At lunchtime, we’ve become a point of reference for business lunches in the nearby government district.

In the evenings and on weekends, the trattoria changes pace and becomes a convivial place, with good wine and a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

Tradition remains the starting point, but the cuisine continues to evolve along with the city. The trattoria opened in 2021 and is managed by the Di Clemente family.

Cuisine

Our cuisine draws on Roman tradition, complementing it with seasonal dishes and a selection of dishes with our own signature style.

The idea is to maintain the comfort and identity of the trattoria, but with a more contemporary and refined touch.

The classical dishes of our culinary heritage remain essential, served without nostalgia but with attention to balance and the quality of the ingredients.

Many of our products come from the neighborhood, particularly from the nearby Piazza Alessandria market, while others come from small local producers.

The kitchen team is led by our chef Briand Paredes.

Dining Room

Our dining room is designed to be welcoming, maintaining the convivial spirit of a trattoria but with a contemporary style.

The atmosphere is warm and informal, suitable for both a quick lunch during the week and a more relaxed dinner in the evening.

The goal is to make every guest feel at ease in a thoughtfully designed space without unnecessary formality.

You will always find one of Patrizio, Francesco, or Daniele to welcome you.

Reservations

To reserve a table at Breccia, you can use the online reservation system or contact the restaurant directly.

At lunchtime, the restaurant is often very busy thanks to the business crowd from the nearby ministry district, and reservations are also recommended for dinner and on weekends.
